PR and Media Lead (Creator Economy)

Remote, Philippines | Part-time to start | AEST overlap required

About the role

We are an Australian company building a PR and earned media service for creators. We need a dedicated PR and media lead to own delivery, build our internal playbook, and help us identify which creators are a strong fit for PR support.

This is a hands-on role. You will research outlets, craft story angles, write personalised pitches, secure interviews and mentions, and report results weekly.

Key responsibilities

Build and run our PR process from start to finish (angles, outreach, follow-ups, interview prep, reporting)

Create SOPs, templates, and simple KPI dashboards in Google Sheets

Develop story angles and pitch plans for creators

Build targeted AU, US, and UK media lists without paid databases

Write editor-ready pitches and follow-ups (no mass blasting)

Prepare creator assets such as bios, one-pagers, and press notes

Provide weekly updates and monthly placement reports with links and notes

Maintain strict discretion and privacy standards

Requirements

2+ years in PR or media relations with real examples of placements

Strong English writing, especially short pitches and subject lines

Proven personalised outreach approach (not mass email blasts)

Strong research skills and attention to detail

Comfortable working with creators and adult-adjacent clients with strict professionalism and discretion

Reliable internet and ability to overlap AEST hours

Nice to have

AU media familiarity

Basic SEO and backlink literacy

GA4 or Search Console familiarity

Success targets (first 90 days)

10 to 15 percent reply rate on tailored pitches

First placement within 30 to 45 days from brief

3 to 6 quality earned hits per month across the active roster (starting with 1 to 3 creators)

Strong weekly reporting and no compliance issues

Hours and pay

Part-time to start, with the option to scale up as the roster grows

Competitive pay based on experience

Paid test task for shortlisted applicants

How to apply (please follow exactly)

In your application, include:

Links to 2 to 3 placements you personally secured and your role in each

One pitch you wrote (anonymised) and the outcome

A 120-word creator bio you wrote (confident, professional, warm)

Five AU outlets you would target first for a creator revenue angle and why

Your available hours in AEST, start date, and your top 3 tools
