We’re looking for a Video Editor who already understands social media and YouTube—someone who knows what performs, why it performs, and how to execute it cleanly.
Job Overview
As our Video Editor, you’ll be responsible for editing both short-form social media content and long-form YouTube content, with a strong focus on retention, clarity, and pacing.
You should already be comfortable editing:
Reels / Shorts / TikToks
YouTube videos (educational, talking-head, podcast clips)
Content intended to hold attention and feel native to U.S. audiences
You’ll also ideally have experience creating YouTube thumbnails that are clean, clickable, and aligned with current best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Edit short-form social media content optimized for retention and engagement
Edit long-form YouTube videos with strong pacing and structure
Add captions, jump cuts, b-roll, zooms, and visual emphasis where appropriate
Apply current editing styles and trends (without over-editing)
Understand and incorporate American cultural references, humor, and tone
Create or assist with YouTube thumbnails (text, layout, visual hierarchy)
Organize assets and deliver consistent, on-brand exports
Collaborate with the internal team and implement feedback quickly
Stay current with social and YouTube content trends
Qualifications
Proven experience editing social media content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok)
Proven experience editing YouTube content
Experience creating YouTube thumbnails (or strong willingness to learn fast)
Strong understanding of viewer retention, pacing, and storytelling
Excellent English comprehension (nuance, humor, slang matters)
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Experience editing for U.S.-based creators or brands is a major plus
