JOB OVERVIEW

WHO SHOULD APPLY

If you worked as Site Engineer or QA/QC Engineer for Multiplex, Lendlease, AECOM, Mace, Laing O'Rourke, Gammon, Samsung C&T, Hyundai E&C, or any Tier 1 contractor in Middle East/Singapore/Australia — this is for you. If you've done QA/QC on residential towers, mixed-use, or institutional buildings with international standards — this is for you.

Best fit: Building construction QA/QC. Inspection protocols, ITPs, NCR management, documentation systems. You've verified concrete pours, rebar placement, framing, waterproofing, envelope assemblies. Less relevant: Infrastructure, roads, bridges, heavy civil. Different inspection regime.

Not a fit: Design engineers who haven't been on construction sites. Estimators or quantity surveyors. Fresh graduates. Anyone who can't commit to 8pm-4am Manila time.

YOUR WORK
Daily documentation review: Photos and logs from 6-10 active wood-frame residential sites. Flag issues before they become problems.

Expert coordination: Schedule local verification experts, prepare checklists and failure mode briefs, process inspection results.

Knowledge capture: Structure what experts teach into searchable database. Maintain visual standards. Update checklists from lessons learned.

Calibration tracking: Track field supervisor assessments against expert outcomes. Identify who's ready for more authority.

Pattern analysis: Which trades have recurring issues? Which details keep failing? Feed insights back to team. Steady state: 6-10 projects, 3-5 milestone inspections per week, daily documentation review across all sites.

REQUIREMENTS

3+ years as site engineer or QA/QC engineer on building construction (not infrastructure) Produced or worked with ITPs, inspection checklists, NCR systems Can read architectural, structural, and civil drawings Strong English written communication Reliable internet and quiet workspace for night shift Committed to 8pm-4am Manila (8am-4pm Atlantic) — non-negotiable

After 6 months (pre-certification authority): $1,600-1,800 CAD/month
Schedule: Full-time, 8am-5pm AST (8pm-5am Manila)

Probation: 1 month

HOW TO APPLY
Answer all five questions. Strong candidates get one 30-minute interview and immediate onboarding.

Employer and Role Current/recent contractor or consultancy, your job title, years there. What types of buildings? What was your QA/QC scope specifically?

Inspection Experience Two defects you caught during site QC that would have been expensive if missed. For each: what was wrong, how did you identify it, what was the fix?

ITP Question You're preparing an Inspection Test Plan for wood-frame wall framing on a 4-story residential building. List the hold points and what you're verifying at each.
