Magazine Design Artist

We’re hiring a part-time Editorial Designer for our family, monthly magazine.

The Designer is expected to be ahead of the game when it comes to eye catching design, clean lines and editorial layout
"know how".

This is not for beginners. We want someone, who knows Adobe InDesign inside and out. You must already have an ACTIVE Adobe InDesign subscription. You must be an excellent listener, follow directions easily and not be afraid to ask questions, if you do not understand a concept. We also want someone who understands the importance of a deadline and be absolutely
IN LOVE with what you do.

The magazine is a family focused publication. The ideal candidate will be upbeat, efficient and organized.
The work includes print magazine layouts and design, online magazine layout and design, advertising design for print and web.

Mac platforms only. Working in Adobe CC InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge, Acrobat, Illustrator, Wordpress.

This isn't just a side gig for you. You live and breathe excellent editorial layout design. The ideal candidate will have good English and good writing skills and offer over 4 years of editorial layout experience, and able to attend weekly design meetings via Zoom.

This job entails more than graphics design. You must understand how to merge beautiful visuals with quality writing. We'll show you how we like our pages designed. You must be willing to listen to what we want and execute it beautifully.
