Shopify Web Designer / Developer

We’re looking for a Shopify designer/developer who can build modern, high-end Shopify websites with custom design and functionality.

PLEASE NOTE: We are getting frustrated with generic applications, either follow the below or don't apply.

If you only edit existing templates, this isn’t for you, we’re looking for someone who can customise and design to a premium standard.

What We Need:
looking for a high-level Shopify developer/designer to build, optimize, and maintain conversion-focused Shopify stores. This is not a basic theme installer role — we need someone who understands branding, UX, speed, compliance, and sales psychology.

Strong Shopify skills (theme customisation, section builds, clean layouts)

You will be responsible for building and improving multiple Shopify stores with a focus on:

Clean, premium design

High conversion rates

Fast load speed

Policy-compliant structure (important for ads + payments)

Key Responsibilities

Build full Shopify websites from scratch (theme setup ? launch)

Customize themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS) for branding and UX

Create high-converting product pages (layout, copy structure, trust elements)

Optimize for mobile + speed + conversion

Integrate apps (payments, subscriptions, reviews, upsells, bundles, etc.)

Set up navigation, collections, filters, and site architecture

Ensure compliance with Shopify, payment processor, and ad platform standards

Ongoing improvements, A/B testing, and iteration

Required Skills

Expert in Shopify (1+ years real experience)

Strong in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Deep understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO)

Experience building stores in regulated or sensitive niches (supplements, peptides, health, etc.) is a big plus

The first shop will be just a 1 product shop weight loss supplement in German market in German language

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Shopify Store Setup & Management (60% of the work)

- Building complete Shopify stores from templates (themes, pages, collections, products)
- Setting up product pages with descriptions, images, variants, and collections
- Theme customization and section editing
- Backend setup (policies, checkout settings, apps, etc.)
- Ongoing store maintenance and updates across multiple client stores

Graphic Design (40% of the work)

- Creating product images and lifestyle graphics in Canva
- Designing branded assets (simple logos, banners, promotional graphics)
- Following brand guidelines and design frameworks we provide
- Creating multiple variations of product graphics for testing

** BONUS (Not required but could be really helpful and potential to earn more):

- Video editing in CapCut (trimming clips, adding captions, music, and adding CTAs)
- Web designing via Figma
- Experience with landing page builders (Replo, PageFly, GemPages)


REQUIREMENTS:

2+ years of hands-on Shopify experience (not just "I've used it a few times")
Strong Canva design skills with a portfolio showing product graphics and branded designs
Portfolio is MANDATORY - applications without portfolios will be ignored
Fast learner who can pick up new tasks without extensive training
Reliable internet and work setup for full-time hours
Available 10-20 hours per week (can be increased once we have more clients). Monday-Friday.
Excellent English communication - you'll be taking instructions and providing updates daily
Self-sufficient - can problem-solve and Google solutions without constant supervision
