Junior Fashion Designer - Project Based

Hi! I’m building a sleepwear brand focused on comfort, function, and elegant design, and I’m looking for a junior / beginner fashion designer to help bring my first product to life.

This project is slow and intentional and at this phase, we are focusing purely on design development first.

This role is project-based and ideal for someone who:

- Loves fashion and has elegant taste
- Wants real-world experience seeing a design go into production (production will depend on final design and planning, with the intention to proceed once ready)
- Is collaborative, detail-oriented, and open to feedback

You don’t need years of experience as long as you have taste, effort, and willingness to collaborate.

What You’ll Be Working On
- Designing 1 hero piece with a unique functional feature
- Creating flat sketches (front & back)
- Helping refine the silhouette, neckline, and overall look
- Suggesting placement for buttons / hooks / attachments (concept level)
- Collaborating with me to finalize the design

Note: I don’t have formal fashion design skills yet, which is why I’m hiring. I have concepts and ideas for the product, but I’m really looking for a collaborative designer who can help translate these ideas into actual designs. I’m very open to learning from you as well, and I value shared input throughout the process.

Requirements
- Must be PH Based
- Willing to meet occasionally in Makati or nearby Metro Manila areas, if needed (Meet-ups will be occasional and only if necessary; most collaboration will still be remote.)
- Basic knowledge of fashion design (school, self-taught, or beginner experience is okay)
- Ability to create clean sketches (digital or hand-drawn is fine)
- Good sense of style and proportions
- Open to feedback and revisions
- Reliable communication and ability to commit to deadlines
- Interest in elegant fashion

Nice to Have (But Not Required)
- Familiarity with fabrics
- Understanding of garment construction basics
