JOB OVERVIEW

Please Read Before Applying

This role is not for long-form YouTube editors or cinematic video creators.

We’re looking for someone who specialises in:

UGC-style ads

Reels / short-form video

Meta ad creatives that stop the scroll and convert

If you understand hooks, pacing, retention, captions, and CTAs, this role is for you.

The Role (In Plain English)

You’ll be responsible for turning ideas and raw footage into high-performing ad creatives.

That includes:

Editing short-form videos for Facebook & Instagram ads

Creating UGC-style ads that feel native, not polished

Producing Reels-style content optimised for attention and retention

Supporting creative testing at volume

You will not be running ads or managing campaigns — your focus is creative execution.

Core Responsibilities
UGC, Reels & Ad Editing

Edit short-form videos (10–45 seconds) for Meta Ads and Reels

Create UGC-style ads using:

Raw phone footage

Talking-head clips

B-roll, screen recordings, and stock where needed

Apply strong:

Hooks in the first 1–3 seconds

Clear pacing and structure

On-screen captions and emphasis

Strong CTAs aligned to the brief

Repurpose long or raw footage into multiple ad variations

Deliver creatives optimised for scroll-stopping performance, not aesthetics

AI & Creative Tools (Important)

We’re especially interested in editors who are comfortable with:

AI-assisted video tools (avatars, voiceovers, B-roll, subtitles)

Using AI to speed up:

Hook testing

Variations

Captioning

Script adaptation

You don’t need to be an AI expert — but you should be comfortable experimenting and learning.

Tools You Should Be Comfortable With

CapCut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar

Canva (for fast variations)

Subtitles / caption tools

AI tools for:

Video generation

Voiceovers

Avatars or B-roll (where appropriate)

Must-Have Experience (Non-Negotiable)

Proven experience editing UGC-style ads or short-form content

Understanding of ad-first editing (hooks, retention, CTA)

Experience creating content for:

Facebook
Ads

Instagram Reels

Ability to follow creative briefs and iterate quickly

Fast turnaround and good communication

If your background is mostly cinematic, corporate, or long-form editing, this role will not be a fit.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Experience editing ads for gyms, fitness, or local service businesses

Familiarity with Meta ad specs and formats

Experience creating multiple variations from one concept

Interest in AI-generated creatives or avatars

What Success Looks Like

You can turn one idea into 5–10 ad variations

Creatives are delivered on time and aligned to performance goals

You iterate quickly based on feedback

You understand that imperfect but native beats polished but boring

Why Work With Us

Clear briefs and direction

Performance-focused environment

Consistent creative demand

Fully remote

Long-term opportunity for the right editor

Hours & Pay

Remote role

Flexible hours

Weekly pay via Wise

Part-time or full-time depending on output and performance

Ongoing work available

How to Apply (Important)

Please include:

Examples of UGC-style ads or short-form videos you’ve edited
(Links, Drive folder, or Loom walkthrough)

Tools you use (editing + AI tools if applicable)

Your availability and timezone

Applications without relevant short-form / ad-style examples won’t be reviewed.

Final Filter

This role is for ad-first editors, not traditional video editors.

If you:

Think in hooks and retention

Enjoy testing variations

Are curious about AI-powered creative

We’d love to see your work.
