XERO BOOKKEEPING & ACCOUNTS ORGANISATION
REMOTE – PHILIPPINES | AUSTRALIAN BUSINESS
I’m looking to bring on a highly detail-oriented, reliable person to help clean up, organise, and categorise our Xero accounts properly.
This role is about order, accuracy, and trust.
If you enjoy tidy systems, clear rules, and getting numbers to make sense, this could be a great fit.
If you dislike repetitive, precision-based work, it won’t be.
ABOUT THE BUSINESS
--
I run 2 small businesses, one is a health and wellness coaching business. The other is an AI Agency. There is ongoing work available for just a few hours a week.
Accurate financial data is critical for:
> Decision making
> Cash flow clarity
> Tax and compliance
> Sanity
I’m not looking for shortcuts or guesswork. I want things done properly and in line with Australian tax requirements.
THE ROLE
--
Your responsibility is to organise and maintain our Xero files, including:
> Reviewing and categorising transactions correctly
> Cleaning up uncategorised or miscategorised items
> Ensuring consistency across accounts
> Flagging anything unclear instead of guessing
> Keeping records clean, audit-ready, and easy to understand
This is not tax advisory work, but it does require a solid understanding of how Australian businesses operate financially.
AUSTRALIAN KNOWLEDGE (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
> You must have experience working with Australian businesses and understand:
> Australian chart of accounts
> GST basics (including GST vs non-GST transactions)
> Common Australian business expenses and income types
> How Australian transactions are typically categorised in Xero
If you have only worked with US, UK, or other systems, this role will not be a good fit.
ABSOLUTE ESSENTIALS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Please do not apply if you don’t meet all of these:
> Proven experience working directly inside Xero
> Experience with Australian finance and tax systems
> Strong understanding of transaction categorisation
> Excellent attention to detail
> Comfortable working through large volumes of data
> Will not guess when unsure, you ask
> Reliable, consistent, and organised
> Able to follow systems and naming conventions exactly
STANDARDS & EXPECTATIONS
--
Accuracy matters more than speed, but both matter.
I expect:
> Clean, logical categorisation
> Clear communication
> No assumptions
> No rushed or sloppy work
> If something looks wrong, you flag it.
> If something is unclear, you ask.
PAYMENT & STRUCTURE
--
Ongoing work available for the right person. There is a project to finish right now and then I'd need weekly or monthly categorisation of Xero files - once the first project is complete it will be just a couple of hours a week but it's a very important task for the business.
Payment made via Wise, transferred directly into your Philippine bank account (PHP)

--
I'd like eveyone to apply via

I’m not looking for the cheapest option.
