Are you obsessed with YouTube Analytics? Do you know exactly why a video goes viral?
We are looking for a highly intelligent YouTube Researcher & Strategist to join our team long-term. We operate in the History / Medieval / Survival niche (similar to channels like Medieval Wisdom, Medieval Way, or Nutty History).
Your main goal is simple: Find "Outliers".
We do not want to guess what topics to make. We want to find topics that are already proven to work—videos that have exploded on small channels—and create better versions of them.
What is an "Outlier" for us? It is a video that has significantly more views than the channel has subscribers (e.g., a video with 500k views on a channel with only 20k subscribers). This proves the TOPIC is viral, not just the creator.
Your Responsibilities:
Deep YouTube Research: Spend hours digging through YouTube to find high-performing topics in the Medieval, Ancient History, Survival, and "Dirty History" niches.
Identify Outliers: You must be able to spot videos that are over-performing their channel size.
Analyze the "Why": Why did this video work? Was it the thumbnail? The curiosity gap in the title? The specific historical fact?
Title & Thumbnail Strategy: You will not just send a link. You will propose 3 variations of viral Titles and describe the perfect Thumbnail concept for our version.
Competitor Analysis: Monitor top channels in our niche daily and report on emerging trends (e.g., "Everyone is making videos about The Great Depression survival hacks right now, we need to jump on this").
Who are we looking for?
You live on YouTube: You understand CTR, AVD (Average View Duration), and Retention.
Pattern Recognition: You can see trends before they become mainstream.
Experience: You have done YouTube research or channel management before. You know tools like VidIQ or TubeBuddy (preferred, but your brain is the best tool).
Niche Knowledge: You find history, survival, or "weird facts" interesting. If you think history is boring, do not apply.
Fluent English: Communication is key.
Sample Tasks You Will Do:
Find 5 "Outlier" videos in the Ancient Rome niche uploaded in the last 6 months.
Explain why a specific video about "Medieval Bread" got 2 million views.
Propose a new angle for a video about "The Great Depression."
Salary & Benefits:
$400 - $600 / month (depending on experience and results).
Long-term stable position.
Opportunity to learn advanced YouTube growth strategies.
Flexible working hours (as long as the research is delivered).
HOW TO APPLY (Read Carefully): To prove you are a real human and understand this job, you must do the following in your application message:
In the subject line, write: "I found your outlier!"
Go to YouTube right now. Find ONE example of an "Outlier" video in the Medieval or Ancient History niche. (A video with high views on a small channel).
Paste the link to that video.
It would be good if you also knew how to use programs such as Nexlev and Vid IQ.
Briefly explain in 2 sentences: Why do you think this video went viral?
Applications without this specific homework will be ignored.....
