We are looking for an experienced Remote SEO Lead to take ownership of our organic search strategy and execution.
This is a part-time, long-term contract role for someone who prefers steady improvement over quick wins, churn, or hype.
About Our Site
• Built using Lovable
• Well indexed in Google Search Console
• Content-heavy and education-focused
• SEO supports discovery and trust-building, with the goal of guiding people toward a community space that will eventually sit behind a paywall
• This is not an aggressive growth, paid funnel, or volume-first project.
What You Would Own
You would have end-to-end ownership of organic search strategy and execution, including:
Core SEO Foundations
• Technical SEO foundations and ongoing improvements
• Site audits, indexing, crawlability, and performance
• Google Search Console monitoring and issue resolution
• Clear prioritization of fixes and improvements
Content & Structure
• Internal linking strategy and topic depth for long-form content
• Topic clusters and priority pages aligned to real user needs
• SEO content optimization and guidance for existing and new content
• SEO content writing where appropriate
• Keyword research and search-intent analysis to inform what content should be created, expanded, or revised
• Providing clear keyword themes, queries, and angles for articles rather than drafting the content itself
Trust & Authority Building
• Backlink analysis and ongoing backlink health review
• Disavow reviews when necessary
• Influencer outreach and values-aligned affiliate partnerships
• Press release distribution and earned media support
• Identifying realistic, values-aligned backlink and partnership opportunities that support long-term authority building
Strategy & Systems
• SEO strategy that supports accessibility, clarity, and trust
• Documented SEO systems the team can maintain
• Sales-funnel-aware content strategy that supports education first, conversion second
• Consistent execution, monitoring, and reporting
This role requires someone who can see the entire SEO system and take responsibility for making it work over time.
Time Commitment & Working Model
This is a part-time role, with an expected commitment of approximately 6–10 hours per week once SEO foundations are established.
Typical Ongoing Weekly Breakdown
After initial setup, time is generally distributed across:
• Ongoing technical monitoring and fixes: 1–2 hours
• Content optimization and SEO writing support: 2–3 hours
• Internal linking and content expansion: 1–2 hours
• Backlink health, outreach, or PR coordination: 1–2 hours
• Reporting, planning, and async communication: 1–2 hours
This structure is designed to support steady, sustainable progress and aligns well with long-term part-time engagement.
Time Tracking
For the initial phase of our engagement, we will use Timeproof for time tracking. This is intended to support transparency and shared understanding as we establish our working rhythm.
As trust and collaboration are established, we are open to evolving the tracking approach in a way that works well for both sides.
Tools & Working Environment
You may already have access to your own SEO tools and workflows, particularly if you work independently or as a consultant.
When applying, please share:
• The SEO tools you currently subscribe to and actively use, and which ones you have used in the past (for example: technical audits, keyword research, backlink analysis, rank tracking, content optimization, or reporting tools)
• Whether these tools are part of your own paid stack or accessed through client or agency accounts
• How you typically combine tools with judgment and experience, rather than relying on tools alone
We are less interested in any specific platform and more interested in how you work, how you validate decisions, and how you maintain quality over time.
What We Are Looking For
You likely bring experience with:
• Technical SEO and on-page optimization
• Content-heavy or educational websites
• Long-term SEO strategy rather than short-term tactics
• Clear documentation and repeatable workflows
• Working independently while communicating progress clearly
Experience with community-driven, membership-based, or trust-based platforms is a strong plus.
How We Measure Early Success
We are realistic about SEO timelines and do not expect instant results.
Early success looks like:
• Improved site structure and internal linking clarity
• Clearly defined priority pages and topic clusters
• Healthy indexing, crawl behavior, and technical stability
• Gradual improvements in impressions, rankings, and qualified organic traffic
• Reporting that explains what is happening and why
We value progress that is understandable, measurable, and sustainable.
Engagement Details
• Contract role
• Fully remote
• Part-time (6–10 hours per week, ongoing)
• Long-term engagement preferred
• Clear scope, pricing, and communication expected
How to Apply
When applying, please include:
• Relevant examples or case studies (especially content-heavy or educational sites)
• The SEO tools you use and how you typically work with them
• Your expected hourly rate in USD
• How you approach SEO for trust-based or values-driven platforms
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to complete a paid trial (6–8 hours) focused on content structure, authority-building opportunities, and keyword alignment to ensure mutual fit.
If this sounds aligned, please reach out with a brief overview of your experience and relevant work.
