We’re hiring an elite Operations Manager — someone who can think like a CFO, act like an owner, and build systems that scale with speed and clarity.
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who:
Thinks in cash flow, not just P&L
Understands that inventory is a financial decision
Builds systems to prevent problems instead of reacting to them
Enjoys owning ambiguity and making high-leverage decisions
This is not a junior ops role, coordinator role, or task-tracker role.
What This Role Is Not
This role is not:
Updating spreadsheets without understanding the “why”
Reacting to stockouts, delays, or cash crunches after they happen
Overbuying inventory “just to be safe”
Managing ops without understanding how decisions affect cash, margin, and growth
What This Role Is
This role is:
Owning real-time cash visibility for the business
Making inventory decisions tied directly to demand and capital
Using Shopify + data + AI to stay ahead of issues
Coordinating multiple 3PLs for speed, cost, and customer experience
Turning CX signals into operational and product improvements
Core Responsibilities
1. Cash Flow Ownership & Financial Planning
Build and own a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
Model and forecast:
Inventory purchases
Marketing spend impact
Loan repayments
Freight, duties, and fulfillment costs
Run best-, base-, and worst-case scenarios
Ensure NordStick stays in stock without overextending cash
This role owns cash clarity. Period.
2. Inventory & Demand Forecasting
Forecast demand using:
Shopify sales data
Historical growth rates
Seasonality
Marketing plans and launches

Prevent:
Stockouts that kill
Overstock that traps cash and creates stress
3. Working Capital & Growth Financing
Strategically deploy:
Shopify Capital
Working capital loans
Supplier terms and payment structures
Evaluate capital decisions based on risk, timing, and ROI
Balance growth velocity with financial safety
4. Shopify & Systems Ownership
Be deeply fluent in Shopify data and workflows
Own operational visibility across:
Orders
Refunds
Shipping costs
Inventory levels
Build and maintain:
Dashboards
Google Sheets / Excel models
Custom reports
Bonus: Ability to code or script internal tools and dashboards
5. 3PL & Shipping Optimization
Manage 2–3 third-party logistics partners
Route orders from the optimal warehouse to reduce:
Shipping cost
Transit time
Monitor zones, rates, SLAs, and delivery performance
Continuously negotiate and optimize for margin and CX
6. CX ? Ops ? Product Feedback Loop
Partner closely with Customer Support to:
Identify repeat issues
Spot friction points
Track returns and complaints
Fix problems at the source by:
Improving setup guides and instructions
Updating training videos
Recommending product or packaging changes
Reduce tickets, refunds, and confusion over time
7. AI & Efficiency Leverage
Use AI to:
Automate reporting
Summarize large data sets
Flag anomalies early
Speed up analysis and decision-making
Eliminate manual work where possible
Operate under the principle:
AI handles repetition. Humans make decisions.

Proven experience in DTC operations, supply chain, or finance-adjacent ops
Strong financial literacy:

Advanced Google Sheets / Excel skills
Shopify fluency
Experience managing inventory and fulfillment

Experience scaling fast-growing DTC brands
Coding experience (Python, SQL, JS, or similar)
