Job Title: Bookkeeper/Controller
Location: Remote
Work Shift: 9:00 AM 4:00 PM AEST
Working Hours: Full-time; 40 hours per week


Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Controller who will work full-time for a single client, managing end-to-end bookkeeping, financial organization, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate has strong experience in e-commerce accounting, especially across multiple online sales channels, and is confident in managing financial processes with accuracy, reliability, and discretion.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistent communication with the client.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting Operations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Process, categorize, and organize receipts and transactions using Dext.
Handle daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping tasks, including:
Bank & credit card reconciliations
AP/AR management
Expense classification
Cleanup and month-end processes

Financial Reporting & Management
Prepare monthly financial reports, summaries, and dashboards for client review.
Oversee cash flow tracking, budgeting assistance, and forecasting.
Ensure accurate revenue recording across all channels including:
ClickBank
Konnective
BuyGoods
Digistore
Amazon

E-Commerce & Payment Processor Reconciliations
Reconcile sales data between payment processors, merchant accounts, and QBO.
Monitor and properly account for:
Chargebacks
Refunds
Fee structures
Reserve holds
Payment discrepancies

Sales Channel Reserves & Payouts
Track, calculate, and reconcile sales channel reserves on all platforms.
Provide a clear breakdown from:
Gross Sales Revenue Reductions Reserve Adjustments Final Payouts.
Validate payout reports against internal accounting records.

Product-Level Sales Reporting
Export, analyze, and prepare detailed product-level sales breakdowns per sales channel (outside of QBO).
Use platform exports to ensure accurate revenue allocation per product and per source.
Integrate product sales data into reconciliation templates and monthly reports.

Compliance & Support
Support tax preparation, audit readiness, and financial compliance.
Implement systems for standardization, documentation, and continuous process improvements.
Work closely with the client to understand priorities and provide reliable financial insights and recommendations.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or controller roles.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Dext.
Solid experience in e-commerce accounting, digital products, or affiliate-based revenue models.
Familiarity with ClickBank, Konnective, BuyGoods, Digistore, or similar platforms is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience tracking and reconciling sales channel reserves, payouts, and revenue breakdowns.
Ability to export, analyze, and prepare product-level sales data outside of QBO.
Strong understanding of:
Chart of accounts
General ledger management
Multi-channel reconciliations
Financial reporting
High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and client-coordination skills.
Resourceful, proactive, and able to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies efficiently.
Proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently with proactive communication on any potential delays
