DevOps Engineer

Key responsibilities:
Design and own the staging ? preview ? approval ? production deployment architecture
Architect safe, repeatable, and rollback-friendly deployment workflows
Design multi-tenant staging environments (e.g., container-based) with proper isolation
Define strategies for cloning production sites into staging and promoting approved changes
Own backup, restore, and rollback mechanisms for production websites
Ensure staging environments are secure, sanitized, and non-indexable
Design secrets management, access control, and audit logging for production changes
Work closely with backend engineers to define safe execution boundaries and change constraints
Ensure the system fails safely and predictably under partial failures

Required experience:
Strong, hands-on experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering for production systems
Proven experience designing deployment pipelines with rollback strategies
Deep understanding of environment separation (staging vs production)
Strong experience with containers (Docker) and multi-tenant runtime design
Experience with reverse proxies, TLS, DNS, and secure routing
Experience designing and operating backup and restore workflows
Strong understanding of security best practices (secrets, least privilege, data sanitization)
Experience building systems that operate on external production environments

Platform-Specific Knowledge (Strongly Preferred)
Operational experience with WordPress (wp-content, wp-config, wp-cli, database structure)
Understanding of common WordPress hosting constraints and limitations
Experience deploying and operating PHP-based applications in production

Tooling & Automation
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., n8n, Airflow, GitHub Actions) — as orchestration, not as architecture
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
