Local SEO - Google Business Profile (GBP) Specialist

About the Role

We're hiring a Local SEO Specialist to manage Google Business Profile optimization, on-page SEO and local link building for home service companies. You'll use AI tools (Claude AI) to create content efficiently while ensuring technical SEO excellence.

This is NOT for beginners. We need someone with proven on-page SEO fundamentals, WordPress expertise, and advanced Claude AI skills.

Why we're being selective: We've had issues with candidates who claim skills they don't have. This application includes a required skills test to verify your actual knowledge before we proceed.

- Show metrics: calls, reviews, traffic increase

Case Study #2 - Website/On-Page SEO (2 minutes)
- Screen share a website you optimized
- Walk through the on-page SEO work you did
- Show Google Search Console or ranking improvements
- Point out specific optimizations (title tags, schema, internal links, etc.)

Your Process & Tools (60 seconds)
- Walk through your typical workflow
- What tools you use (show them if possible)
- How you use AI tools for content creation

CRITICAL - What We Want to See:
- Real results with proof (rankings, traffic, GBP screenshots)
- Screen shares of actual work, not just you talking
- Specific metrics (ranked from #15 to #3, 40% call increase, etc.)
- Your face on camera (build trust)
- Clear English communication

What We DON'T Want:
- Generic talking about what you "can do"
- No proof or screenshots
- Reading from a script
- Just showing your resume

What You'll Do

On-Page SEO (Critical)
- Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, H1/H2 structure
- Implement LocalBusiness and Service schema markup
- Build internal linking architecture
- Create service pages, location pages, neighborhood pages (1,200-1,500 words)
- Ensure mobile optimization and Core Web Vitals
- Fix technical SEO issues as they arise

WordPress Management
- Edit pages and posts without breaking the site
- Troubleshoot plugin conflicts and basic errors
- Update content, add schema, optimize images
- Maintain site speed and performance

Google Business Profile
- Optimize to 100% completion
- Weekly Google Posts (AI-generated, manually refined)
- Q&A strategy, photo uploads, attribute optimization
- Track insights and performance metrics

AI-Powered Content Creation
- Use Claude AI to write blog posts (600-1,300 words)
- Create service/location pages using AI + manual editing
- Generate optimized meta descriptions and title tags
- Quality control all AI content for accuracy and brand voice

Citation Building & NAP Consistency
- Order and track 50-60 citations per client
- Ensure 100% NAP consistency across all platforms
- Monitor duplicate listings
- Industry directories

Reporting
- Daily Slack updates on completed tasks
- Weekly ranking/traffic reports
- Monthly comprehensive ROI analysis

Requirements

MUST HAVE (Non-Negotiable):
- 3+ years local SEO experience with proven results
- Expert Claude AI/ChatGPT skills for content creation
- Strong on-page SEO fundamentals (title tags, meta, schema, internal linking)
- WordPress editing experience (pages, posts, plugins, basic troubleshooting)
- Schema markup knowledge (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ schemas)
- Excellent written English (you'll write client-facing content)
- Citation building experience with NAP consistency
- Extremely organized - can follow SOPs and systems
- Proactive problem-solver - can work independently without constant supervision

Nice to Have:
- Home services industry experience (home service, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, etc.)
- Knowledge of US market and local business practices
- Experience with seasonal content strategies
- Backlink building experience

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $1,800-2,000/month USD

Breakdown:
- $1,800 base salary (full-time, 40 hours/week)
- Up to $200/month performance bonus when clients rank in top 3 pack
