This role is focused on execution leadership, prioritization, and performance tracking. The Marketing Team Lead will operate inside an existing ClickUp workspace and be responsible for organizing work, sequencing priorities, and keeping marketing initiatives moving forward.
Core Responsibilities:
Marketing Execution & Prioritization
Maintain a weekly marketing execution calendar and priority list
Sequence and prioritize tasks across SEO, website, content, social media, and Google Business Profile (GBP)
Ensure work is scoped, assigned, and completed on schedule
Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and coordinate a remote marketing team (SEO, content, design, social)
Translate priorities into clear tasks and briefs
Conduct weekly check-ins and follow-ups to ensure progress and accountability
Workflow & SOP Development
Create and document basic SOPs for recurring marketing activities
Standardize workflows for content publishing, SEO updates, GBP posting, and reporting
Maintain task templates and recurring tasks inside ClickUp
Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track weekly execution progress and high-level performance indicators
Maintain a simple weekly marketing report covering:
tasks completed vs planned
traffic and lead trends
notable changes or issues
Flag underperforming initiatives and recommend adjustments
Vendor & Asset Coordination
Coordinate with external vendors (SEO, website, design) as needed
Ensure deliverables are received, reviewed, and logged
Maintain basic documentation of vendor outputs and timelines
Required Experience
4–7 years of experience in marketing operations, marketing coordination, or marketing management
Prior experience leading or coordinating a remote or cross-functional marketing team
Experience managing execution across multiple marketing channels (SEO, content, website, local search)
Required Skills
Task prioritization and workload sequencing
Workflow and SOP documentation
Remote team coordination and follow-up
Weekly reporting and performance tracking
Basic understanding of marketing funnels and lead generation
Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently without losing visibility
Technology & Tools
ClickUp (or comparable project management tools such as Asana, Monday, Jira)
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
Basic familiarity with:
Google Analytics
Google Search Console
Google Business Profile
SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
ChatGPT
Call tracking tools (e.g., CallRail or similar)
Areas of Marketing Knowledge
SEO and local search fundamentals
Website content updates and landing pages
Social media content scheduling and engagement
Online reviews and reputation management
Basic conversion tracking concepts
