JOB OVERVIEW

Experienced Video Editor (Per-Project, High-End Work)

I’m looking to hire an experienced video editor on a per-project basis to join my team.

Please read the full description carefully before applying.

I’m a travel photographer and run two photo/video agencies:
• Nash Creative House ( ---------- ) Conference & event video production
• Diamond Cut Weddings ( ---------- ) - Wedding films

This role is for an editor who can take ownership of projects, work quickly without hand-holding, and bring a cinematic, artistic eye to professional video work.

These are not casual social media edits. You’ll be editing polished wedding films, event recaps, marketing videos, and YouTube content.

Workload & Project Types
• Minimum capacity: 2 projects per week

Most common projects (ranked by frequency):
1. Event & conference recap videos (1–2 min)
2. Short-form Instagram Reels reels (~30sec)
3. Wedding highlight films (around 5 min)
4. YouTube long-form videos (5–7 min)

Creative Expectations
I’m looking for someone who can:
• Turn a folder of raw footage into a strong finished video
• Bring creative interpretation and ownership, not just follow instructions
• Choose music thoughtfully (you’ll have access to my Soundstripe account)
• Apply LUTs well and polish color from there
• Keep sound design clean and minimal

Software & Workflow
• Editing software: Adobe Premiere Pro
• Delivery & review: ----------
• Occasionally you’ll export for multiple formats (web, social, YouTube)

Turnaround & Deadlines
• Standard turnaround: 2–3 days per project
• Rush projects: 24 hours (you would receive a paid rush fee)
• You’re never required to accept a project, but once accepted, the deadline must be met

Experience Requirements
• 1+ year of professional video editing experience
• Wedding experience is preferred, not required
• Strong communication and fast responsiveness are critical
• Comfortable working with large file sizes and tight timelines
• Reliable internet connection required

Pay & Growth
• Paid per project
• We will discuss rates after we've d ---------- it's a good fit, but for reference, here are example rates I'm looking for something similar to:
Vertical Shorts
• $45 per short
Wedding Videos
• $150 (under 4 min)
• $200 (4–6 min)
Event Recaps
• $100 (1 min)
• $200 (2–3 min)
Other General Rates
• $100 (60 sec)
• $200 (3–5 min)

For context: my current editor started around $300/month and grew to $1,500+ per month within a year based on volume, consistency, and quality. This role has room to grow quickly if you do strong work and can handle more projects.

We’re growing fast and actively need another editor.

?

This Role Is NOT for You If:
• You only know how to chop clips together
• You need heavy direction on every creative decision
• You struggle with fast communication or deadlines
• You’re looking for casual, low-expectation editing work

I’m looking for a professional editor with an artist’s touch, not just technical ability.

How to Apply

Please send:
• Links to your previous work (required)
• The editing software you use
• A short note on why you’re a good fit

Applications will only be considered if they include the word “Salamat” in the subject line.
