Virtual Intake (VI) Nurse – Home Health (EVV + Compliance + Operations)

Company Overview

We are a growing home health care agency seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Virtual Intake Nurse to support our admissions, EVV compliance, documentation, and HR-related compliance workflows. This is a long-term role for someone who understands home health operations and can help keep our team organized and compliant.

Position Summary

As a Virtual Intake Nurse, you will help manage the patient acceptance and start-of-care process, ensure EVV readiness, support documentation and compliance, and assist with HR compliance tracking related to clinical staff. You will work closely with our administrator and nursing team to ensure smooth onboarding of patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Intake & Admissions

Review new referrals for completeness and eligibility (demographics, insurance, diagnosis, authorization needs)

Confirm service availability (coverage area, staffing, start date)

Assist with scheduling Start of Care (SOC), initial assessments, and follow-up visits

Prepare and organize admission packets and required documents

EVV & Home Health Compliance

Ensure EVV setup/readiness for assigned staff and patients (as applicable)

Audit visit documentation for EVV alignment and missing elements

Track missed visits, late documentation, and required corrections

Support internal compliance checklists and reporting

Documentation & Clinical Operations Support

Assist with care plan coordination and communication with field staff

Follow up on missing documents (orders, certifications, supervisory visits, etc.)

Maintain organized patient files and logs (digital/EMR-based)

Communicate with caregivers/nurses regarding documentation standards

HR Compliance Support (Clinical Team)

Track licenses, CPR, CEUs, screenings, background checks, and expirations

Help maintain onboarding requirements and compliance folders

Assist with reminders and follow-up for missing HR items

Support policy adherence and staff documentation accuracy

Training & PowerPoint (Plus)

Create PowerPoint presentations or training materials for staff

Assist with teaching/orientation support (caregiver/nurse onboarding)

Help build simple SOPs, checklists, and workflow guides

Requirements

Nursing background (RN preferred; LPN accepted depending on experience)

Proven experience in home health operations

Strong understanding of EVV processes and compliance

Familiarity with HR compliance tracking in healthcare settings

Excellent English communication (written and verbal)

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable

Comfortable using Google Drive/Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and digital tools

Able to follow SOPs and meet deadlines consistently

Nice to Have

Experience with EMR/EHR systems (home health preferred)

Experience with Medicare/Medicaid, authorizations, or intake coordination

PowerPoint design skills and training/teaching experience

Work Schedule

Remote / Work from home

Part-time or Full-time available (please include your preference)

Availability for occasional real-time communication (chat/Zoom)
