JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking to hire a proficient and experienced accounts officer for our growing organisation.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

? Secretarial/Executive support services which may include the following: maintaining executive diary; attending
executive/organisational meetings and taking minutes; establishing and/or maintaining current working and
personal filing systems for executive; answering executive correspondence from verbal or handwritten
instructions.
? Able to prepare financial/tax schedules, calculating costings and/or wage and salary requirements; completing
personnel/payroll data for authorisation; reconciliation of accounts to balance.
? Advising on/provide information on one or more of the following:
-employment conditions
-workers compensation procedures and regulations
-superannuation entitlements, procedures and regulations
? Applying one or more computer software packages, developed for a micro personal computer or a central
computer resource to either/or:
? creating new files and records
? maintaining computer-based management systems
? identifying and extract information from internal and external sources
? using of advanced word processing/keyboard functions
? Follow and provide direction where necessary for company budget
? Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
? Strong understanding of the NDIS price guide and continue to remain updated with the alterations and
amendments published by the NDIS.
? Review errors and rectify where necessary.
? Liaise with Finance Officer and Accountant
? Reconcile accounts.
? Prepare depreciation with direction.
? Prepare Super Payments by mandatory dates for payment.
? Ensure ASIC’s Fee’s are paid on time and account details are managed accordingly.
? Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management.
? Release all payments to suppliers, if provided approval.
? Collection customer payment and report overdue customer payment promptly.
? Ensure that all employees receive training, instruction, and information to enable them to perform their work.
? Communicate the company’s NDIS policies and processes to all employees and is also responsible for
communicating risks and responsibilities for NDIS system.
? Perform a broad range of skilled applications.
? Evaluate and analyse current practices.
? Develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices.
? Take reasonable care for your own health and safety.
? Provide leadership to lower level employees.
? Communicate effectively with your team.
? Work with a high degree of autonomy and exercise authority to take decisions in relation to specific customer
contact matters.
? Report any i ---------- or hazards to the relevant Manager or Supervisor.
? Keep informed of the contents of the NDIS system and apply it to daily work.
? Ensure you are not affected by alcohol or drugs, to endanger your own or any other persons’ health and
safety.

Required level of Experience:
- Bachelor in Accounting or higher
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role
- Ongoing growth and learning

Competencies
? Previous experience in a similar role.
? Previous experience using financial software Xero.
? Be a team player who has the ability to delegate to ensure the job is completed.

? Have the drive to achieve and exceed targets.

Full Time Employee | Monday – Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm (AEST/AEDT)
