VIDEO EDITOR (DESCRIPT)

Fast. Clean. Great taste. No chasing.

Visionary X is building a high-output content engine. We record one long, clean take. Your job is to turn that into scroll-stopping short-form clips that feel premium, simple, and “done.”

This is not a complicated edit role. No motion graphics. No fancy transitions. The bar is higher than that: speed, clean execution, and music taste that matches the vibe perfectly.

What you’ll be editing
• One long recording (we already choose the sections)
• You turn it into multiple short clips using our Descript template
• You pick the music, make it hit, and deliver clean, on-brand files

Your core responsibilities
• Edit short-form clips in Descript using our template (captions, pacing, clean cuts)
• Add music that fits the vibe perfectly (this is a major part of the role)
• Light cleanup: remove dead space, tighten pacing, keep it natural
• Export correctly, label files correctly, upload to the right folders
• Communicate clearly and proactively (no disappearing, no excuses, no chasing)

Quality standard (read this twice)

We do not want over-editing. We want:
• Clean cuts
• Strong pacing
• Perfect music choice
• Consistent formatting
• Fast turnaround
• You catching issues before we do

Requirements (non-negotiable)
• You are genuinely fast in Descript (not “I can learn,” but “I already live in it”)
• You have strong taste (you know what feels premium and what feels cringe)
• You can work independently and deliver without micro-management
• You can handle volume (we post ~5x/day)

Bonus points if you can also
• Write captions using our approved AI system (we can train you)
• Help with uploading/scheduling (optional, not required for this role)
