Long-Form YouTube Video Editor (Vlogs / Travel & Lifestyle Content)

I’m looking for a reliable, long-term video editor to edit weekly long-form YouTube vlogs for my personal YouTube channel.
The content focuses on travel, lifestyle, and self-improvement, with a strong emphasis on storytelling, pacing, and flow rather than flashy effects.

Videos are typically 10–30 minutes long, with a goal of posting at least once per week. This role is ideal for someone who wants consistent work and to grow alongside a personal brand.

Responsibilities
• Edit long-form YouTube vlogs (10–30 minutes each)
• Turn raw footage into a clear, engaging narrative
• Remove dead space and improve pacing and structure
• Add:
• Appropriate background music
• Simple sound effects where relevant
• Clean subtitles/captions when needed
• Basic color correction and audio balancing
• Follow a consistent editing style once established
• Take feedback positively and apply revisions
• Deliver at least 1 finished video per week

Requirements
• Proven experience editing long-form YouTube content (not just shorts or reels)
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention
• Comfortable editing vlog-style footage
• Consistent with deadlines
• Good written communication in English
• Stable internet connection
• Proficient in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve

• Experience editing travel or lifestyle vlogs
• Understanding of YouTube watch time and retention
• Ability to suggest small creative or pacing improvements

Work Details & Pay
• Rate: $5–7/hour depending on experience and skill
• Hours: ~25 hours per week (flexible, may change over time)
• Monthly Equivalent: ~$500–700/month
• Schedule: Flexible, but weekly deadlines must be met
• Payment: Hourly
• Growth: Strong performance and consistency will lead to rate increases and more responsibility over time

This is a long-term role, not a short-term role.
