E-Mail Marketing Manager

The Role

We are hiring a mid-level Email Specialist to lead the execution and optimization of email and SMS programs for our clients, primarily within Klaviyo. This role partners closely with account, content, and analytics teams to drive retention, engagement, and revenue through lifecycle marketing.

This is a remote role, open to candidates based globally, with the ability to collaborate across North American time zones.

What You’ll Do

Campaign Execution
Plan, build, and launch high-performing email and SMS campaigns in Klaviyo that support client goals across retention, conversion, and revenue growth particularly for food, beverage, and alcohol brands.

Lifecycle Ownership
Create, optimize, and maintain automated flows including welcome, abandoned browse and cart, post-purchase, replenishment, and win-back programs.

Segmentation and Personalization
Develop advanced audience segments and personalization strategies that increase relevance, engagement, and ROI.

Copy Development
Write and refine email and SMS copy that aligns with brand voice, complies with industry regulations (including alcohol marketing), and drives action.

Testing and Optimization
Lead A/B testing across subject lines, creative, messaging, timing, and offers, applying learnings to improve future campaigns and flows.

Performance Analysis
Monitor and analyze key metrics such as open rate, click rate, conversion rate, and revenue contribution, translating data into actionable insights.

Reporting
Build clear, concise performance summaries that highlight results, trends, and recommendations for internal teams and clients.

Collaboration
Work closely with account, content, and analytics teams to ensure lifecycle programs are aligned with broader strategy, on brand, and performance-driven.

QA and Deliverability
Ensure all emails and SMS are thoroughly QA’d for accuracy, formatting, links, tracking, compliance, and deliverability best practices prior to launch.

Platform & Industry Expertise
Stay current on Klaviyo updates, email and SMS best practices, and eCommerce trends especially within food, beverage, and alcohol applying relevant improvements to client programs.

What We’re Looking For

Experience
2–4 years of hands-on email marketing experience, with at least 2 years working directly in Klaviyo.

Industry Background (Required)
Proven experience working with food, beverage, and/or alcohol brands, preferably in an eCommerce or DTC environment.

Platform Strength
Strong working knowledge of Klaviyo campaigns, flows, segmentation, and reporting.

eCommerce & Lifecycle Expertise
Solid understanding of lifecycle marketing and how email and SMS drive retention, repeat purchase, and revenue.

Copy Skills
Confidence writing clear, compelling email and SMS copy across different brand voices, with attention to compliance where applicable.

Analytical Mindset
Comfort interpreting performance data and turning insights into meaningful optimizations.

Organization & Execution
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts, campaigns, and timelines simultaneously.

Communication & Collaboration
Clear written and verbal communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally.

Location & Availability
Remote, with the ability to overlap working hours with North American time zones.

What Success Looks Like

3 Months
Independently building and launching campaigns and flows with strong QA, reliability, and on-time delivery.

6 Months
Proactively improving lifecycle performance through testing, segmentation, and optimization, especially for food, beverage, and alcohol clients.

12 Months
A trusted owner of email and SMS execution across multiple accounts, contributing strategic insights that influence broader account performance.
