JOB OVERVIEW

Role: Short-Form Video Editor and Content Producer - Fitness Content (Remote, Philippines)

About the role

PEAK Physique Coaching is looking for a high-output, highly reliable Short-Form Video Editor and Content Producer to turn raw footage into scroll-stopping Instagram Reels and TikToks. This role is for someone who already understands what makes short-form perform, can move fast without constant direction, and can consistently deliver clean, on-brand edits.

You will receive recorded footage (talking head, gym clips, podcast-style content, B-roll, screenshots) and convert it into high-performing short-form content with strong hooks, tight pacing, captions, and platform-native formatting.

Outcomes you are responsible for
• Consistently produce high-quality Reels and TikToks that match a clear brand style and drive views, saves, shares, comments, and leads.
• Deliver edits on schedule with minimal back-and-forth.
• Keep files organized and ensure smooth transfer of large video datasets.

Key responsibilities
• Edit short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok (primarily 9:16).
• Create multiple variations when needed (different hooks, first 2 seconds, captions, CTAs).
• Add on-screen captions (clean, readable, correctly punctuated, timed well).
• Insert B-roll, zooms, jump cuts, overlays, sound effects (when appropriate), and visual pattern interrupts.
• Use CapCut for editing workflows and Canva for supplemental graphics (covers, simple charts, callouts, quote cards).
• Maintain brand consistency: pacing, caption style, font usage, colors, visual hierarchy, and CTA format.
• Package deliverables correctly (resolution, frame rate, safe margins, audio levels, file naming).
• Organize project folders, versions, exports, and source files so nothing gets lost.
• Handle large media transfers reliably (Google Drive, Dropbox, ---------- , or similar).
• Track tasks and deadlines using a simple system (Trello, Notion, ClickUp, or Google Sheets).

Required skills and qualifications
• Fluent English (spoken and written). You must be able to understand nuance, tone, and fitness terminology, and produce accurate captions.
• Strong CapCut skills (desktop and/or mobile) including templates, subtitles, effects, beat timing, and export settings.
• Strong Canva skills for social content assets.
• Proven short-form editing experience (TikTok and Instagram Reels). You understand hooks, retention, pacing, and platform trends.
• Excellent attention to detail (no sloppy captions, typos, clipping audio, awkward cuts, or inconsistent formatting).
• Able to work with minimal supervision and make good creative decisions independently.
• Reliable high-speed internet suitable for large file uploads/downloads, plus a stable workstation.
• Strong file organization habits and comfort working with large volumes of footage.

Nice to have (strongly preferred)
• Experience editing fitness, bodybuilding, nutrition, or coaching content.
• You have worked with a creator or brand posting at high volume (multiple videos per day).
• Basic understanding of direct-response marketing (hooks, pain points, objections, credibility, clear CTAs).
• Experience with Capcut, Canva, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects (not required, but helpful).
• Experience repurposing podcast-style clips into short-form.
• ** Specific experience creating content for fitness creators and channels **

Deliverables and expectations
• Format: 9:16 vertical, platform-native, ready to post.
• Typical output: multiple short-form edits per week, with the ability to ramp up to daily volume as the workflow tightens.
• Turnaround: fast, consistent delivery based on an agreed posting calendar.
• Quality bar: strong first 2 seconds, clean captions, tight pacing, on-brand look, minimal revisions.

How success will be measured
• Consistency of delivery (on-time, dependable output).
• Edit quality (caption accuracy, pacing, clean visuals, strong hooks).
• Revision rate (low back-and-forth, few avoidable mistakes).
• Organization and communication (clear updates, files always in the right place).
• Performance indicators over time (improved retention, saves, shares, comments, and lead-driving engagement).

Work style and communication
• Clear communication is mandatory: quick check-ins, fast responses during agreed work hours, proactive updates if something is blocked.
• You should be comfortable receiving direct feedback and implementing it immediately.

Send the following:
1. A link to your portfolio of short-form edits (TikTok/Reels examples only, if possible) specifically showing fitness focused portfolio samples. It will be best to simply send me a link to a folder containing MP4 samples or similar.
2. A brief message describing your editing workflow (from raw footage to final export).
3. Your internet speed (upload and download), your editing device specs, and which tools you use (CapCut desktop/mobile, Canva, any others).
4. If selected for pre-screen, the following will be requested: Edit a 20 to 40 second sample clip from provided raw footage (we will send a test file to shortlisted candidates).
