I am launching a YouTube channel that produces 90 minute cinematic documentaries. These are not fast-paced YouTube compilations or social media edits.

I am looking for an experienced long-form video editor who understands story pacing over long durations, emotional tone, and visual restraint.

This role is not suitable for:
• Short-form editors
• TikTok / Reels specialists
• Editors who rely on flashy effects or templates
• Beginners or intermediate editors still learning fundamentals

• Video length: 90 minutes
• Style: Cinematic documentary
• Turnaround time: 24 - 36 hours
• Long-term position for the right editor

I provide:
• Full script
• Professional voice-over

You are responsible for:
• Sourcing appropriate stock footage (premium subscriptions provided), archival material, and still images
• Background music selection
• Subtle sound design
• Assembling a cohesive, emotionally consistent film

Editing Style Required

This channel values:
• Slow, intentional pacing
• Visuals that support meaning, not distract from it
• Clean, professional cuts
• Emotional rhythm sustained over 90 minutes
• Minimal effects, no gimmicks
• Strong sense of narrative progression

If you enjoy editing long-form documentaries, essays, or historical films, this is likely a good fit.

If you prefer high-energy, fast-cut, or viral-style editing — this role will not suit you.

Required Experience (Please Read Carefully)

You must:
• Have proven experience editing long-form videos (45+ minutes)
• Be highly proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, etc
• Understand story structure, pacing, and audience retention over long runtimes
• Be fluent in English
• Be comfortable sourcing high-quality stock footage independently
• Be reliable, organized, and deadline-conscious

Strongly preferred:
• Documentary, history, or video essay editing experience
• Experience maintaining tone and pacing over extended runtimes
• Comfort working on emotionally serious subject matter
