Frontend Engineer (Frontend-First, Full-Stack Capable) — Contract to Hire

Who We Are
We are a focused development team building and evolving a suite of internal and customer-facing applications, including web admin tools, signage systems, and smart TV applications. Our work includes both new product development and ongoing improvements to existing production tools.

This is not a short-term or single-project contract. We consistently have work and are looking for someone who can grow into a long-term role with the team.

The Role
We are looking for a Frontend Engineer with a strong foundation in React who is also comfortable handling some backend responsibilities. This is a frontend-first role, but the right candidate will be capable of working across the stack to own features end-to-end.

You will primarily focus on frontend development, while also integrating with backend APIs and occasionally contributing to backend logic when required.

This role is intended as a contract-to-hire position, replacing a long-term tea ---------- mber and designed to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain frontend features using React.
- Own features end-to-end, from UI implementation through backend integration.
- Work with backend APIs (Node.js / TypeScript) to support frontend functionality.
- Improve and extend existing production applications.
- Collaborate with other developers to plan, scope, and deliver features.
- Participate in a brief daily stand-up meeting with overlap during U.S. hours.
- Use modern, AI-assisted development workflows to improve speed and quality.

What You Bring

Frontend (Primary)
- Strong experience with React (React.js; React Native is a plus).
- Solid understanding of JavaScript; TypeScript experience preferred.
- Ability to create clean, maintainable UI components and workflows.

Backend (Secondary)
- Comfortable integrating with APIs and backend services.
- Experience working with Node.js and basic backend logic.
- Willingness to debug or extend backend functionality when needed.

General
- Experience using Git in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Good English communication skills.
- Openness to “vibe coding” and AI-assisted development tools.
