Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients. This role is not a training or entry-level position. The ideal candidate comes with hands-on experience, strong QuickBooks knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts independently.

You will be responsible for maintaining clean, accurate books, supporting month-end close, and working closely with our Lead Bookkeeper and internal team to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage bookkeeping for 10–20 client accounts concurrently.
• Categorize transactions accurately using bank feeds in QuickBooks.
• Create and apply deposits using invoices and ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records for all assigned clients.
• Support monthly reconciliations and reporting.
• Communicate internally via Slack and collaborate with the Book Werkz team.
• Adhere to documented SOPs and workflows to ensure consistency and quality.
• Flag discrepancies, missing information, or concerns proactively to the Lead Bookkeeper.

Required Experience & Qualifications

This is not a train-on-the-job role. Candidates must already have the following skills and experience:
• QuickBooks Expert-level proficiency (required).
• Proven experience managing multiple clients simultaneously (preferably 10–20).
• Strong understanding of transaction categorization and bank feeds.
• Experience creating deposits from invoices and handling accounts receivable workflows.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage workload and deadlines independently.
• Clear, professional communication skills.

• Monday–Thursday: 9:00am–4:00pm CST
• Friday: 9:00am–1:00pm CST

Availability during these hours is required for internal communication, collaboration, and client service coverage.
