About the Role
Our client is a growing real estate investment firm acquiring and renovating single-family homes across the Midwest. As deal volume increases, they’re seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter to support acquisitions by executing accurate, timely deal analysis within established underwriting criteria and operating systems.
This role is highly structured and execution-focused. You will not be responsible for creating buy boxes or making subjective investment decisions. Instead, success comes from applying defined criteria accurately, communicating clearly, and escalating issues appropriately within the approval process.
We are optimizing for strong analytical fundamentals, excellent communication, and the ability to learn and operate confidently within an existing system.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze residential real estate deals using an established buy box and underwriting model
• Evaluate purchase viability, returns, and risk based on defined criteria
• Ensure underwriting decisions align with internal approval and compliance standards
• Track underwriting status and deal pipeline in
• Maintain organized, accurate files and documentation in Google Drive
• Proactively flag missing information, risks, or out-of-scope deals
• Communicate findings clearly and concisely with internal tea
• Escalate questions or exceptions according to defined processes
Required Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting underwriting, financial analysis, and/or real estate operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail with a compliance- and accuracy-oriented mindset
• Comfort executing within structured SOPs and established workflows
• Ability to learn and adapt to a specific operating model
• Clear, confident written and spoken English
• Comfortable explaining analysis verbally when needed
• Familiarity with task or workflow tools (
• Proven work history with 2–3 professional references available
Depth of standalone underwriting experience is less important than accuracy, communication, and consistency within a defined system.
