VA to Find and upload press releases to our newswire

We';re seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to support NYC Newswire, our New York City-focused press release publishing platform.

This role is primarily research and publishing. The position involves identifying and uploading 4 NYC-focused press releases per day to our internal newswire system (not WordPress, but similar in process).

Responsibilities:
- Research and identify 5 daily press releases from:
- Politicians and elected officials
- Hospitals and healthcare systems
- Law firms
- Colleges and universities
NYC sports organizations
Copy and format press releases cleanly into our system
Upload and properly format images from the original release
Ensure headlines, links, and images display correctly
Categorize and tag content appropriately
Maintain publishing consistency and accuracy

Qualifications:
Strong written English
Experience posting content to websites (WordPress or similar CMS required)
High attention to detail
Comfortable with repetitive structured tasks
Strong research skills
Reliable internet and consistent availability
Able to follow detailed SOPs

This role is ideal for someone organized, efficient, and comfortable working independently with structured daily output expectations.
