JOB OVERVIEW

The Back 40 is an Australian heritage apparel brand inspired by real country life — the bush, the coast, hard work, and the people who built this country.

We design premium, practical apparel for those who live and work outdoors — fishos, farmers, tradies, truckies, and families who value authenticity, mateship, and the Australian way of life.

Our focus is on building a brand with substance, not hype.
Right now, we’re pushing growth and sales of our fishing shirts, designed for real Australian conditions.

The Role

We’re looking for a capable, commercially minded Facebook Marketing & Sales Assistant to support our team by driving meaningful engagement that converts into sales.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands that Facebook is not just about posting — it’s about conversation, visibility, and ---------- ntum.

The role starts at 2 hours per day, 5 days per week, with the opportunity to increase hours as performance grows.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Executing day-to-day Facebook marketing activities

Creating and publishing engaging, on-brand Facebook content

Actively responding to comments, messages, and enquiries

Participating in relevant Facebook groups where appropriate

Using Facebook Marketplace to support product visibility

Supporting sales through organic engagement and follow-up

Assisting with Facebook ads when appropriate (small budgets, testing, retargeting)

Observing performance and feeding insights back to the team

What We’re Looking For

Solid experience with Facebook marketing and engagement

Confident communicating with audiences in a natural, non-corporate tone

Sales-aware — understands that engagement should lead to action

Comfortable working within a team structure while taking initiative

Organised, reliable, and outcome-focused

Bonus (not required):

Experience with apparel, e-commerce, or lifestyle brands

Familiarity with Australian outdoor, fishing, or country culture

Hours & Growth

2 hours per day to start

5 days per week

Opportunity for increased hours and responsibility based on results

Long-term role for the right fit

Important Note

This role suits someone who enjoys execution, interaction, and progress — not just planning or scheduling.

If you’re comfortable engaging with people, testing ideas, and helping a growing brand gain traction, we’d like to hear from you.
