Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Remote Project Estimator with experience in U.S. construction estimating, procurement, or related operations. You will be responsible for evaluating project intake materials, selecting and prioritizing projects, performing detailed cost estimates, coordinating labor and materials sourcing, managing quantity take-offs, and creating complete work files in company systems. You will be a key contributor to project planning and preconstruction efforts, partnering with cross-functional teams to support accurate budgeting and project success. This is a success-based compensation role.

Key Responsibilities:
Review project opportunity intake lists, construction documents, and scope of work to identify viable projects.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.
Prepare accurate, comprehensive cost estimates and bid packages.
Coordinate procurement processes including sourcing, negotiating, and managing quotations for labor and materials.
Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and vendors to clarify scope and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain and organize project work files and estimating documentation in company systems.
Monitor cost trends, update cost databases, and refine estimating models to improve accuracy.
Support value engineering and cost-saving strategies where appropriate.
Develop estimating tools in excel that support estimating team in painting, concrete, steel, roofing, drywall, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other trades.
Developing estimating standards across the enterprise team.
Capable of developing and leading a team of estimators working in alignment to a common goal.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in construction estimating, procurement, project take-offs, or related discipline with a U.S. construction company or international construction experience.
Strong ability to interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Proficiency with estimating tools and software (e.g., Builder Connected, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel, Sage, ProEst, or comparable platforms).
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote team interaction.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Prior experience with U.S.-based procurement and vendor negotiation.
Experience working remotely and managing digital files and cloud-based systems such as Microsoft 365.
Certification in professional estimating (e.g., CPE, AEP/CEP).

Special Consideration will be given to associates who showcase demonstrated experience developing tools and systems to grow and scale US based start-up companies.
