Junior Video Editor (Long-Form YouTube + Shorts)

I’m looking for a junior video editor to assist with long-form YouTube videos and short-form clips.

This is not a creative lead role. You’ll be following a clear editing style, references, and structure. I’ll provide guidance, feedback, and training. I’m looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable executing a defined vision.

Tasks:
Edit long-form talking-head YouTube videos
Cut long-form content into short clips (Reels / Shorts)
Clean pacing, jump cuts, basic captions
Edit with awareness of YouTube pacing and viewer retention
Organize files and follow instructions closely

Requirements
Comfortable using any editing software (Premiere Pro preferred), as long as you can execute the job well and follow the editing style
Can follow references and feedback accurately
Strong attention to detail
Basic understanding of YouTube SEO and audience retention (e.g., hooks, pacing, avoiding dead air)
Reliable turnaround and communication

How I work:
I’m very hands-on with editing direction. I care more about clarity, pacing, and consistency than flashy effects. This role is about alignment and execution, not creating your own editing style.

Rate:
Starting at $3/hour
Trial-based, with opportunity to grow if it’s a good fit
