WordPress, SEO & Canva Design Support

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to help maintain and improve our WordPress website and visual content. This role focuses on updating existing blog posts for SEO, improving page layout and readability, and creating clean, on-brand graphics in Canva.

This is an ongoing, part-time role (1–4 hours per week) and is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing content, improving user experience, and making websites look polished and professional.

Key Responsibilities:

WordPress Support
Update and optimize existing blog posts (not writing from scratch)
Improve formatting for readability (headings, spacing, bullets, links)
Ensure posts follow basic on-page SEO best practices:
Proper heading structure (H1, H2, H3)
Meta titles and descriptions
Internal linking
Image alt text

Check older posts for:
Broken links
Outdated formatting
Missing images or poor layout
Assist with light page edits on main website pages as directed

Canva Design
Create simple, clean graphics for:
Blog posts
Website sections
Promotional flyers (8.5x11") and pdf ebooks
Youtube thumbnails

Follow brand guidelines (colors, fonts, logo usage)
Improve visual hierarchy and flow (not overly “busy” designs)

What We’re Looking For
Strong experience with WordPress (editing posts, formatting, basic SEO)
Comfortable using Canva for clean, modern designs
Basic understanding of SEO (or willingness to follow checklists/templates)
Excellent attention to detail

Able to follow written instructions and brand guidelines
Organized, efficient, and respectful of deadlines
Strong written English (editing, not copywriting)
Nice to Have (Not Required)

Familiarity with:
Yoast or Wincher
Elementor or Gutenberg editor
Experience updating older blog content for SEO
Interest in health, fitness, or endurance sports (helpful but optional--if you apply, please tell me what your favorite type of exercise is)
