About the Project
Thrive+40 is a women’s wellness brand focused on helping women 40+ navigate perimenopause and menopause with medically backed, realistic strategies. We’re building out a Skool community and need a dedicated video editor to help us create clean, engaging short videos for our members.
We’re starting with one flagship intro video that will live on the Skool welcome page. After that, we’ll have 15–30 additional short videos (around 1:30 each) to edit, with strong potential for ongoing, part-time work if it’s a good fit.
?
What You’ll Work On
• First Project (Paid Test):
• Edit a key 1:30 intro video that will be placed on the Skool intro page for people thinking of joining
• This video should be engaging, warm, and professional, engaging people to join the skool
Sample raw video:
When you apply, please explain how you would edit this first video, including:
• How you’d structure the cuts and pacing
• IF/WHERE you’d add text, captions, or callouts
• How you’d use b-roll or stock footage (if any)
• Any color/audio cleanup you’d do to polish it
Ongoing Work (After Test Project):
• Edit 15–30 additional videos, each around 1:30
•
Mix of:
• Talking-head style videos
• Clips with added b-roll to illustrate concepts
• Trim mistakes/pauses and tighten the flow
• Adjust framing (zoom/crop) if needed
• Add simple titles, lower-thirds, and on-screen emphasis for key points
• Light color correction and audio cleanup
• Export in the correct format for Skool and organize files clearly (consistent naming and folders)
?
Requirements
• Solid experience editing short-form video (course content, Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, social media, etc.)
• Comfortable editing talking-head educational content
• Good English comprehension so captions and text match the script
• Access to reliable editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, CapCut, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow simple brand guidelines
• Reliable communication and ability to hit deadlines
?
Nice to Have
• Experience with online course content
• Ability to choose tasteful b-roll or stock footage that fits the message
?
Payment & Workload
• Initial paid test project for the first intro video (we can agree on a flat rate for this).
• After that, we’ll move to a per-video rate for the remaining 15–30 videos.
• If the collaboration goes well, there is potential for ongoing, steady work as we continue creating content for the Skool community and other platforms.
