Podcast Video Editor (Part-Time)

I'm looking for a skilled video editor to help produce and polish podcast episodes for multi-platform distribution. I record 2-4 podcast episodes per week (30-60 minutes each) and need someone to edit them, add effects, and prepare them for automated distribution across 35+ platforms.

The workflow:

-I record in Descript (screen share + webcam)
-You edit the raw footage (clean up, add effects, B-roll, graphics)
-You export the final widescreen version
-AI tools handle the repurposing and distribution

What you'll do:

-Edit podcast episodes in Descript
-Make the content visually interesting and engaging (not just a talking head)
-Add intros, outros, transitions, and effects
-Insert B-roll, stock footage, or graphics to enhance key points
-Add text overlays, captions, lower thirds
-Create eye-catching thumbnails (Canva)
-Customize and export for multiple formats:
--Full video podcast (YouTube, Rumble, Facebook)
--Audio podcast (for Buzzsprout distribution)
--Vertical clips for mobile (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts)
--Work with AI tools (OpusClip, ---------- , Metricool) to distribute content

Tools You Should Know:

Required:

-Descript (primary editing tool)
-Canva (thumbnails, graphics)

Familiarity Preferred:

-OpusClip (AI clip creation)

-Metricool (social scheduling)
-Buzzsprout (podcast hosting)

What I'll Provide:

-Direct access to all tools (Descript, OpusClip, ---------- , Metricool, Canva)
-Shared Google Drive folder for raw recordings and exports
-Clear guidelines on style, branding, and output formats
-Feedback and direction on each episode

Requirements:

-Experience editing podcasts or talking-head videos
-Comfortable with multi-cam editing (screen + webcam)
-Eye for making content visually engaging
-Can follow detailed instructions and feedback
-Reliable, communicates clearly, meets deadlines
-Has own computer and stable internet connection

Hours & Pay:

-Part-time: 15 hours/week (flexible schedule)
-Rate: $4-6 USD/hour depending on experience
-Paid twice monthly (15th & 30th)
-Long-term position for the right person
