Video Editor for YouTube (Documentary / Video Essay Style)

We are looking for a Video Editor for our YouTube channel (Documentary / Video Essay Style).

Our YouTube channel, 'STOIUM', creates story-driven, educational YouTube videos about human biology, nutrition, fitness history, scientific case studies, and real-world experiments.

We want someone who LOVES storytelling, pacing, and cinematic editing.

If you can edit in a style similar to Magnates Media, James Jani, or Jake Tran (documentary style), this role is for you.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Edit one 8–12 minute documentary/video essay per week
- Add supporting visuals (animations, b-roll, archival footage, images, news clips)
- Use light motion text & graphics for emphasis
- Build strong pacing and emotional flow
- Follow a script + creator notes and refine based on feedback
- Deliver clean, high-quality edits on schedule
- We provide: narration audio + full script with notes. You handle the full visual edit.

Requirements:
- Experience editing documentaries or video essays
- Strong sense of story structure and pacing
- Skilled in a professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro)
- (Bonus) After Effects for motion graphics
- Good English comprehension (you’ll edit narrated content)
- Organized, reliable, and responsive communicator
- Wants long-term, stable work

Bonus Skills (Not Required, But Great):
- Motion graphics experience
- Experience editing topics like science, fitness, or history
- Personal interest in health/fitness
