Interior Designer

JOB FUNCTION:

Make interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting decorative items, such as colors, lighting, and materials. They read blueprints and must be aware of building codes and inspection regulations. Provide drawings and assist team lead in all interior design requirements of the project.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Major duties and responsibilities

Design Review and Planning Stage
Assist the team lead interior designer to finish all interior design requirements
Perform FF&E sourcing, selection and specialization
Create ‘mode boards’ to sample the design vision
Prepare design concepts, space planning/function and presentation materials
Preparation of drawing all stages/phases (Pre-concept, Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design/Development, Technical / Tender/ Construction drawing).
Design Presentations
Analyses the Design Review and uses it
Produces design presentations (Keynote / PowerPoint)
Produces 2D, 3D and working drawings
Follow world trends and keeping abreast of new technology in the design industry
Project Data Development
Able to scan and crop images in Photoshop, manipulate floor plans, dimensions, create schedules, tag finishes from redline set and set title blocks
Design Solutions
Contributes in the development in all phases of design
Prepares technical solutions to make the design feasible
Resolves minor design issues
Team Management
Delegates tasks to CAD Designer & BIM Architect
Communication
Coordinate with interior designer/ team lead to choose materials and FFE selections
Liaison with rendering team to produce interior rendering presentation materials

QUALIFICATIONS

BS Interior Design or Architecture Graduate
Licensed Interior Designer / Architect
International Work Experience (preferred Hospitality)
With minimum of 10 years work experience as Interior Designer or equivalent
With architectural training
