At Peak Transport our mission is to provide efficient and reliable transportation and logistical support. We are seeking a dedicated virtual assistant specialist with a focus on talent acquisition and comprehensive administrative support. This role will ensure effective recruitment of top-quality delivery associates for our operations while also managing payroll, employee records, and supporting strategic projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong ability to learn new tasks quickly and possess keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all areas of their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to attract top talent for delivery driver roles.
Support the entire hiring process from job posting, screening, to hiring, ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout.
Utilize various recruiting channels, including online job boards, social media, employee referrals, and networking, to source a diverse pool of candidates.
Work closely with the Hiring Manager to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and provide necessary support during their initial training period.
Collaborate with DSP leadership to identify hiring needs, align recruitment strategies with operational goals, and provide regular updates on hiring progress.
Payroll and Administrative Responsibilities:
Monitor and review employee time cards to ensure accurate recording of hours worked, and address discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files in Google Drive, including employment contracts, performance evaluations, certifications, and other relevant documentation.
Ensure hiring, payroll, and employee file management practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, wage regulations.
Monitor and report on retention metrics, helping to develop initiatives aimed at improving employee satisfaction and reducing turnover.
Provide administrative support to enhance office operations, focusing on efficiency and productivity.
Manage and respond to all forms of correspondence and inquiries in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain departmental reports and databases; transcribe, compose, and prepare correspondence and documents.
Support strategic projects and assist in planning and execution of department activities and events.
Perform essential office tasks such as filing, scanning, faxing, mailing documents, and ordering supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Educational background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in recruitment, HR, or administrative support roles.
Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and hiring laws.
Proficiency in managing payroll systems and understanding regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Google Drive and other relevant software tools.
Ability to effectively judge character and select quality delivery driver candidates.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with leadership, operations managers, and HR teams.
