About Hire Highs: We are the strategic operations partner for high-growth leaders. We don't just fill seats; we build high-performance departments. We are currently architecting a dedicated creative studio for a major Los Angeles-based lifestyle brand sitting at the intersection of hip-hop, fashion, and counter-culture.
The Mission: We are looking for a visionary Creative / Art Director to define the visual language for this brand. This is not a role for "safe" or "corporate" design. The brand requires an aesthetic that screams LA street culture, grit, and authenticity. You will lead the creative squad, define the look, and ensure every piece of content has "The Sauce."
What You’ll Do:
Own the Aesthetic: You are the brand guardian. You will ensure visuals align with a culture-defining lifestyle identity (think: Supreme, Kith, Trapstar), strictly avoiding generic tech or agency styles.
Lead the Squad: You will manage, mentor, and critique a team of Production and Creative Designers, Video Editors, and Juniors. You provide the creative direction; they execute the vision.
Campaigns & Merch: You will conceptualize lookbooks, merchandise drops, and high-impact digital campaigns from scratch.
Quality Control: You are the final filter. You know how to give specific technical feedback (e.g., "Fix the kerning," "This texture looks too stock," "Make the motion snappier") to elevate the work before it goes live.
Who You Are:
Experience: 4+ years in design, with at least 1-2 years leading a team or managing projects.
You Have "The Eye": You possess deep visual literacy in streetwear and urban aesthetics. You know the difference between "High Fashion" and "Mall Brand."
Toolbox: Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Ps, Ai, Pr). Bonus points for Blender/C4D.
Culturally Fluent: You listen to the music, watch the trends, and understand the specific subcultures involved.
