Job Summary
The Purchasing Assistant supports Allied Machine’s purchasing operations by managing pricing, customer orders, inventory, and procurement activities. Key responsibilities include processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
Duties and Responsibilities
Generate purchase orders with accurate supplier pricing and delivery dates.
Manage item pricing and cost rolls in the ERP system.
Process customer orders and respond to expedite requests.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain ISO 9001:2015 procedures and support compliance.
Resolve accounts payable invoice issues.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish office supplies.
Complete special projects assigned by the Controller and Purchasing Supervisor.
Perform other related duties as needed.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Effective time management and multitasking abilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Skilled in auditing processes.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in business administration or related field, or 1–2 years of purchasing experience.
ERP system experience preferred.
Remote/International Requirements
Reliable internet, 100Mbps minimum.
Ability to work across time zones, preferably EST.
Knowledge of international shipping terms is a plus.
English proficiency: ILR Level 4 (Advanced Professional Fluency).
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of desk and computer work.
Ability to lift up to 32 pounds unassisted.
