Google Sheets Systems Builder (One-Off Project - Remote)

We’re looking for a highly skilled Google Sheets specialist to rebuild our main nutrition-tracking spreadsheet into a cleaner, more stable, and more user-friendly system. The current sheet functions, but it’s messy, easy to break, and not intuitive for coaches to use.

You don’t need nutrition knowledge - all the logic already exists.
Your role is to engineer the structure so it’s clear, reliable, and hard to break.

What You’ll Do

You’ll rebuild a multi-tab calculator system that currently handles TDEE ranges, macro calculations, and phase tracking. Your job is to make the system cleaner, modular, and easier for coaches to use.

Your responsibilities include:

Rebuilding the spreadsheet with a clean structure and logical flow

Consolidating and simplifying formulas across tabs

Preserving all existing conditional logic (age-based adjustments, training level, body-fat classifications, etc.)

Ensuring the sheet is safe to expand
(adding rows or cells should not break formulas)

Adding data validation, dropdowns, and protections to prevent a ---------- overwrites

Identifying outdated tabs and safely removing or rebuilding them if still linked

Designing a more intuitive layout and step-by-step workflow for coaches

Improving overall readability and user experience

Providing a short maintenance guide so the sheet can be updated long-term

Delivering both a protected working version and an unprotected developer version

Requirements

Advanced Google Sheets skills
(ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDIRECT, logical functions, data validation, protections)

Experience rebuilding complex or multi-tab calculator systems

Strong ability to understand existing logic and re-engineer it cleanly

Excellent organisation and attention to detail

Clear communication — ability to ask the right questions early

Not required: fitness or nutrition background — the logic is already built.

Bonus Skills

UI/UX-minded spreadsheet design

Experience building trackers, dashboards, or calculators for coaches or data-driven teams
