Sr. Front End Wordpress Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Front-end WordPress developer, you will be responsible for the user interface of our website. Qualified candidates will be expected to have an advanced working knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript as well as hands on experience with user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design. Your duties will include turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind. You will have understanding on the integration of plugins such as WooCommerce. You will also be responsible for implementing new features to our WordPress website, and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you'll get to...
- build web applications with web development best practices
- transform app designs into front-end code with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
- gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design
- debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
- manage the on-site search engine optimization (SEO)
- write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code
- stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends
- perform other ad hoc duties related to the role assigned


REQUIREMENTS:

On day one, we'll expect you to...
- have at least 4+ years experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- have worked on at least 5 websites in the past, links to sample works or portfolio is requested
- have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- have experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, GSAP, and Bootstrap
- be proficient with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA
- be familiar with CSS preprocessors such as SASS, Less, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS
- be an expert in ACF and Gutenberg
- have basic proficiency in Google Analytics and Tag Manager
- have working knowledge of SEO principles
- have experience with build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack
- have basic proficiency with Figma
- have experience with cross-browser compatibility testing
- have experience with responsive web design
- be familiar with W3C and W3GAC html standards
- have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
- be willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on the computer
- be willing to undergo character reference check and submit documents for application processing.
- be a current resident of the Philippines and legally able to perform work from there
- be willing to work in US Pacific business hours (8am-5pm PST which corresponds to 12am-9am PH time, if not DST)
