Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Rent Manager software specialist to assist with a targeted system improvement and data migration project. This contract involves merging two separate Rent Manager instances, migrating all necessary data, and optimizing the software for operational efficiency across multiple properties.
Scope of Work / Responsibilities
1. Data Migration
Export, clean, and migrate data from two existing Rent Manager accounts.
Consolidate tenant, ledger, unit, property, vendor, and employee information with full accuracy.
Ensure no duplicate or conflicting records remain.
2. System Merge
Combine two Rent Manager systems into one unified, fully functioning platform.
Maintain integrity of all historical data (tenant payment history, work orders, leases, renewals, transactions, etc.).
3. System Optimization & Efficiency Improvements
Review all current Rent Manager settings, permissions, workflows, and configurations.
Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements (examples: automated notices, report scheduling, ACH setup, security roles, delinquency workflows, unit mapping).
Ensure the platform is fast, organized, and easy for staff to use.
4. User Permissions & Access
Set up proper roles, staff logins, and access levels.
Audit existing users and remove unauthorized access.
5. Testing & Quality Control
Verify that all migrated data populates correctly.
Test payment processing, owner reports, move-in/move-out functions, and ledger accuracy.
Create a short end-of-project training document or basic guide summarizing changes.
Timeline
Total project length: 2 weeks
Week 1: Data export, cleaning, and initial migration.
Week 2: Merge, system optimization, testing, and final review.
Compensation
Total contract amount: $1,000
Paid upon successful completion of the agreed deliverables.
Additional work outside scope may be billed separately upon approval.
Required Qualifications
Prior experience with Rent Manager (required)
Experience merging or migrating Rent Manager databases
Strong understanding of property management operations
Ability to work efficiently and confidentially
References or examples of similar projects preferred
