JOB OVERVIEW

I’m looking for a part-time video + thumbnail editor based in the Philippines who loves gaming & streaming culture, learns fast, and can execute quickly.

You’ll take my Twitch streams, IRL footage, vlogs, and talking videos and turn them into:

YouTube videos (10–30 min)

YouTube Shorts

TikToks

IG Reels / FB Reels

Snapchat short-form clips

You’ll also create high-CTR thumbnails and social graphics that match my brand and help videos get clicked.

This can grow into a full-time, long-term role if we work well together.

What You’ll Do (Main Responsibilities)

Video Editing

Edit Twitch VODs ? YouTube videos (highlight / storyline edits, tight pacing, high retention).

Edit short-form vertical clips (9:16) from streams & IRL content for TikTok / Reels / Shorts / Snapchat.

Edit IRL & vlog-style content (car lifestyle, challenges, travel, etc.).

Add captions, subtitles, on-screen text, ---------- s, sound effects, zooms, transitions to keep energy high.

Craft strong hooks in the first 3–10 seconds and maintain fast, engaging pacing.

Organize footage, name files clearly, and deliver exports in the correct resolution/aspect ratio.

Thumbnails & Social Design

Design clickable, clean YouTube thumbnails (MrBeast-style principles: big faces, emotion, simple composition, strong contrast).

Create social media graphics when needed (banners, simple posts, overlays).

Keep everything visually consistent with the “Smooth” brand (colors, fonts, style).

Content System & Communication

Work inside my Notion content planner (boards for Tasks, Week, Month, etc.) to see upcoming videos and priorities.

Take feedback and iterate on edits fast.

Communicate clearly on Slack/ ---------- /Email about deadlines, revisions, and new ideas.

Be open to occasional rush edits / last-minute tasks (with extra pay/bonuses).

Requirements (Must-Haves)

Strong experience editing gaming content & short-form clips

Portfolio with YouTube videos and/or TikTok/Reels/Shorts.

Comfortable editing Twitch streams / long VODs into engaging videos.

Tools – Comfortable in at least one:

Adobe Premiere Pro / Final Cut / DaVinci Resolve / CapCut (desktop).

Adobe Photoshop / Figma / Canva for thumbnails.

Understanding of social platforms:

Knows how content differs between YouTube long-form vs Shorts, TikTok, Reels, Snapchat.

Basic knowledge of hooks, watch time, retention, CTR (click-through rate).

Culture fit:

Actively watches streamers / gaming YouTubers (e.g., Kai Cenat, AMP-style energy, GTA RP, etc.).

Understands ---------- s, sound effects, reactions, and what makes gaming clips entertaining.

Soft skills:

Fast learner, open to feedback & iteration.

Can meet deadlines and manage multiple videos per week.

Reliable internet and good communication in English (written & verbal).

Nice-To-Haves (Bonus Points)

Basic motion graphics (simple animated text, transitions, effects).

Experience editing car / lifestyle / vlog content.

Comfortable using Notion or similar project management tools.

Knowledge of YouTube SEO basics (titles, tags, descriptions) – not required but nice.

Hours & Timezone

Part-time to start (around 15–25 hours per week).

Some overlap with US Eastern Time is preferred for feedback calls.

Flexible schedule as long as deadlines are met.

I also plan to include:

Performance-based bonuses for videos that hit certain view milestones.

Rush-job bonuses when I need last-minute edits or extra projects.
