Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Podcast Trailer Editor to craft impactful trailers from our long-form podcast content. You will collaborate with our in-house team to find the strongest hooks, build engaging narratives, and deliver edits for YouTube, Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok and X. The ideal candidate has a sharp story sense, excellent pacing, strong audio skills, and proven experience editing podcast content. Familiarity with the trading and finance niche is a bonus.

Responsibilities
• Watch long-form recordings and identify powerful hooks, headlines and CTAs for impactful trailers.
• Edit tight, high-retention impactful trailers and cut-downs (15–120 seconds) for Shorts, Reels, TikTok, X and YouTube preview intros.
• Add dynamic captions and kinetic text that match brand guidelines and improve retention.
• Clean and mix audio: remove filler, reduce noise, balance levels and loudness-normalise.
• Colour correct and lightly grade to match our studio look.
• Source and place relevant B-roll or screen recordings to reinforce key ideas.
• Deliver correctly formatted masters across aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) and platform specs.
• Manage multiple edits simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines and same-day turnarounds when required.
• Maintain organised project files & carry out any revisions in a timely manner.
• QC every export for typos, sync, audio pops, caption accuracy and brand consistency.

Requirements
• Very strong communication with quick responses in messaging applications.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Competent in After Effects for titles and light motion; Audition or Resolve/Fairlight for audio.
• Demonstrable experience editing impactful trailers and shorts for podcasts, creators or media brands.
• Knowledge of social platform best practices, delivery specs and caption workflows.
• Strong story editing, pacing and beat-matching with music and SFX.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of professional video editing experience.
• Portfolio showing impactful trailers, podcast cut-downs and long-to-short transformations.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Reliable hardware and internet suitable for 4K multicam projects and rapid renders.

Nice to Have
