We are a small consultancy / agency that are currently working with an established UK manufacturer with over 100 years of heritage. We are supporting them with building a fast-growing direct-to-consumer marketplace channel on Amazon UK. From a standing start in February, we launched FBA in April and are now on track to exceed £100k+ in sales this month.
We are looking for a highly skilled Amazon PPC specialist to take our advertising to the next level, bring structure and control to our campaigns, and improve profitability while continuing to scale. A big focus is on reducing ACoS / TACoS.
This is a project-based role initially, with the potential to develop into a long-term, part-time position either directly with the brand or via our consultancy (supporting multiple clients).
About the Account
• Amazon UK, FBA-focused
• 114 active SKUs across 34 parent SKUs - all products however are the same, so there is significant cross-over of every SKU in terms of key search terms - the only difference being 'fitment' of the product specific to customer needs.
• Significant variation by pack size and product specifications
• Current ACOS / TACoS: struggling to get below 30% overall
• Third-party PPC automation tool already in place (Perpetua), but we need deeper, more granular optimisation and strategic oversight
We prefer not to disclose full product details publicly, but the range sits within the home / electrical category for the UK market.
Role Overview
We need someone who can:
• Audit the current Amazon PPC structure in detail
• Recommend and implement an improved campaign architecture
• Re-engineer campaigns to reduce wasted spend and improve ROAS
• Work alongside (not against) our existing automation tools
• Put robust processes in place so the account remains controlled and scalable
If you enjoy turning “messy but promising” ad accounts into efficient, profitable machines, this will suit you very well.
Key Responsibilities
• Complete a thorough audit of current campaigns, ad groups, keywords, budgets, and placements
• Review existing performance data (ACOS, TACoS, CVR, CTR, spend, search term reports) and identify key issues
• Propose an optimised campaign structure for ~34 parent SKUs with multiple variants (by pack size / specification)
• Rebuild / re-engineer campaigns where necessary (e.g. by match type, branded vs non-branded, category, product type, etc.)
• Implement negative keyword strategies and refine targeting to reduce wasted spend
• Optimise bids (manually and/or through Perpetua) to balance visibility and efficiency
• Set up a sensible testing framework (keywords, bids, placements, day-parting, etc.)
• Create clear reporting and dashboards to track performance developments (ACOS, TACoS, spend, revenue, and key efficiency metrics)
• Provide recommendations to help us hit profitability goals while sustaining growth
Required Experience and Skills
• Proven experience managing Amazon PPC at scale (please provide examples)
• Strong track record of improving ACOS / TACoS on accounts spending at least £10k+/month on ads
• Deep understanding of Amazon advertising (sponsored products, brands, and display), keyword strategy, and search term optimisation
• Comfortable working with multiple product variations and complex catalogues
• Experience with PPC automation tools (Perpetua or similar) and how to use them alongside manual optimisation
• Strong analytical skills and confident working with data in Excel or Google Sheets
• Excellent written English and clear communication
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive
Nice To Have
• Experience working with UK or EU Amazon accounts
• Experience in home, electrical, or similar “technical” consumer products
• Experience creating SOPs and documentation for ongoing PPC management
After the initial project, there is the option for an ongoing part-time role (for example 5–10 hours per week) focused on continuous optimisation and expansion. This could be directly with the brand or via our consultancy, supporting other accounts.
Working Hours and Communication
• You will work remotely.
• Some overlap with UK business hours is preferred for occasional calls and faster communication.
• We typically communicate via
