About the Role
We are a fast-growing eCommerce and direct-response company looking for a highly skilled Video Editor to join our creative team.
Your work will be split between 30% Video Sales Letters (VSLs) and 70% performance videos, including UGC ads, mashups, and competitor recreations for multiple eCommerce brands.
We’re looking for an editor who understands marketing, persuasion, and storytelling — not just flashy transitions. You should be able to take a brief, understand the intent behind it, and turn it into a video that sells.
This is a long-term, full-time position with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and grow into a senior creative role over time.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong storytelling ability through video.
• Deep understanding of pacing, rhythm, and emotional buildup.
• Experience with VSLs or direct-response-style videos (not YouTube or reels).
• Ability to match visuals and pacing with voiceover/scripts to maximize impact.
• Strong sense of clarity, curiosity, and flow in editing.
• Fluent in English with excellent listening comprehension.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, organized, and open to feedback.

Experience and Skills Required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in professional video editing.
• Proven work on VSLs, UGC ads, mashups, or advertorial-style videos.
• Ability to follow clear SOPs and creative direction while adding your personal editing touch.
• Proficiency with tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut Pro.
• Understanding of direct-response structures (hook ? story ? proof ? CTA).
Application Process and Test Task
To apply, you will complete a short test task:
• Edit 15 seconds of a VSL intro using the footage and SOP we provide.
• Demonstrate your sense of pacing, emotion, and clarity.
Process overview:
The top 5 candidates will be invited to a paid second task (60-second edit).
The best 2 editors will move on to a final paid full-VSL edit with feedback.
The top candidate will be hired for a long-term collaboration and training phase.
Compensation and Work Conditions
• Full-time, long-term position (flexible schedule, consistent weekly output required).
