JOB OVERVIEW

I am looking for a dedicated and patient online tutor to help my 15-year-old son, a freshman in high school, strengthen his study habits, time management, and executive function skills. He is bright, respectful, and curious, but struggles with maintaining consistent routines and organizing his workload effectively.

The main goal is not just academic tutoring, but helping him build lifelong learning habits — skills that will support him throughout high school, college, and his future career.

Subjects & Focus Areas
He is currently enrolled in the following courses:
- H. Biology
- H. Geometry
- H. Humane Letters I (English & History integrated)
- H. Spanish I
- Music Theory III / Choir

While a strong understanding of these subjects is helpful, the primary focus will be:
- Building structured study habits
- Developing organizational and planning skills
- Improving time management and task prioritization
- Strengthening executive function and follow-through
- Offering light academic tutoring in Biology, Geometry, and English as needed

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 1-on-1 online sessions (3–5 times per week, 1 hour each).
- Guide him in creating a consistent study routine and weekly schedule.
- Teach strategies for managing assignments, deadlines, and exams.
- Support with homework, review materials, and note-taking methods.
- Provide encouragement, accountability, and structured reflection.
- Communicate weekly progress updates to parent.

Requirements
- Proven experience tutoring high school students (U.S. curriculum preferred).
- Background in Education, Psychology, or related field a plus.
- Familiarity with executive function coaching or habit formation methods.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using Zoom, Google Docs, and online learning tools.
- Reliable internet connection and professional home setup.

Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly Rate: $5–$8 USD/hour
- Schedule: 3–5 sessions per week (flexible based on school workload)
- Payment: Bi-weekly via Wise or PayPal
- Long-term engagement preferred (school year commitment)
