Omega Capital is a boutique finance brokerage specialising in trade finance, debtor finance, and foreign exchange (FX) solutions for Australian businesses. We partner with lenders and financial institutions to help clients unlock working capital, fund growth, and manage international payments efficiently. Our clients range from importers and exporters to manufacturers, distributors, and service-based SMEs.

Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a key role in driving Omega Capital’s growth by building strategic partnerships, sourcing new business opportunities, and managing client relationships across trade finance, debtor finance, and FX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, business lending, or commercial broking, combined with a results-driven approach to business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, source, and secure new business opportunities in trade finance, debtor finance, and FX.
Work collaboratively with the Managing Director and lender partners to structure transactions and ensure smooth deal execution.
Prepare proposals, credit submissions, and client presentations with high attention to detail.
Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on business development activities.
Stay up to date with market trends, lender products, and foreign exchange developments.

Key Skills & Attributes:
Strong sales and relationship management skills, with a proven track record in business development or commercial finance.
Understanding of trade finance, debtor/invoice finance, or business lending products.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commercial acumen.
Proficiency in CRM systems and lead generation software.

Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in business development, commercial lending, or financial broking.
Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
