JOB OVERVIEW

About Us
We’re HPT, a fast-growing small group personal training company based in Central London, UK. We help busy professionals transform their bodies through expert coaching, accountability, and structured nutrition support.

We run digital marketing campaigns every month across Meta, Google, and other platforms — and we’re looking for a talented Canva Designer to join us on an ongoing, part-time basis to create high-impact static ad creatives.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for designing static image ads for social media and digital marketing campaigns. You’ll work from clear briefs and brand guidelines, creating visuals that are clean, modern, and performance-driven — not just “pretty”, but designed to catch attention and convert.

You’ll collaborate directly with the founder (that’s me, Jake), who’ll provide example templates, visual direction, and feedback.

Responsibilities
- Create static ad images in Canva following brand guidelines
- Adapt and resize creatives for Facebook, Instagram, and Google Display
- Repurpose existing photos or short clips into new ad visuals
- Add copy (headlines, call-to-actions, etc.) based on brief
- Maintain consistency in font, colour, and layout
- Deliver final creatives in both editable (Canva link) and export formats
- Update templates or experiment with new visual styles
- Targets will be given for required designs to be produced each week
- Research competitor and other fitness company ads via meta and LinkedIn ad libraries to find inspiration for new designs

Requirements
- Proven experience designing social media ads (not just posts)
- Strong Canva skills and sense of clean, conversion-oriented design
- Good English communication — can follow video briefs clearly
- Reliable, organised, and able to meet deadlines consistently
- Comfortable using Google Drive and Slack (or similar tools)
- Bonus: Familiarity with fitness, health, or wellness content

The role is highly likely to lead to more responsibilities and work going forward should the initial work go well.
