We're Being Well Cold, Scotland's pioneering brand for cold immersion tools, backed by science like 250% dopamine spikes and reduced sick days. We make mental resilience and recovery accessible, donating to youth mental health. As we grow, you'll create and schedule social content that sells our starter packs, with bonus Shopify tweaks. Occasionally support our sister brand, Being Well Travel (wellness trips—1-2 hrs/month or where needed). This role involves crafting engaging posts, managing schedules, monitoring trends, and turning wellness insights & trends into sales-driving social media content. Grow with a startup: Turn science into sales, potentially expanding hours as we hit milestones like community events or product launches.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Social Media Content Creation and Scheduling: Craft and schedule posts/reels across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts,
- Shopify Optimization (Bonus): Tweak product pages, descriptions, and SEO to boost conversions—experience here increases your impact.
- Proactive Research, Direct Feedback & Suggestions: In any spare time, monitor trends, new data (e.g., latest Huberman protocols), or wellness insights to translate into social content. Ability to spot updates like gender-specific cold responses is key.
- Additional Tasks
Basic Skills: (These are essential—verifiable proven experience of +2 years)
- Social Media Expertise: Proven familiarity with posting, scheduling, and resharing on TikTok, Instagram,
- Translating content into Ad's - The ability to translate content that work's into Ad content to drive engagement, sales or clicks.
- Writing Skills: Ability to create compelling captions and responses that translate to conversions, using tools like AI but not relying solely on this.
- Organizational Skills: Manage and log tasks, workload, and requests in a clear, organized manner.
- Research: Capable of online research for trends, topics, or visuals to fuel creative content.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines in a remote setup.
Technical/Desired Skills:
- Tools:
- Canva (or alternative design platforms) for content creation and editing.
- Meta Business Suite for social media scheduling and management.
- Mailchimp for basic
- ChatGPT (or similar AI tools) for drafting/refining captions,
- AI for authentic, real-life-like video & image generation (e.g., Runway, Luma, Midjourney, or similar) to create dynamic wellness visuals.
- SEO Awareness: Understanding of how to use keywords and hashtags to optimize posts.
- Customer Service: Friendly, professional responses to inquiries and guest requests.
- Tech-Savviness: Comfortable navigating online tools and learning new platforms or processes with a proactivity to suggest new tools that can help grow our business.
- Interest in Wellness: Beneficial to have a passion for health, fitness, and/or cold exposure to authentically create and engage with content.
Soft Skills:
- Strong Communication: Ability to write and respond professionally and clearly in English.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in everything you do.
- Proactive Attitude: Takes initiative to solve problems and suggest improvements.
- Adaptability: Comfortable learning new tools and adjusting to changing priorities in a start-up environment.
- Dependability: Reliable, meeting deadlines consistently and able to meet Co-Founders at least once per week and communicate via Slack or WhatsApp when needed.

Work Schedule & Days: Flexible 6-8 hours/week—work when it suits you, as long as results shine. Start with a 4-week paid trial at $6/hour to demo skills and fit. During trial: Focus on tasks like content scheduling and content creation; we'll evaluate performance weekly. If aligned, transition to ongoing role with potential for more hours/pay as we scale.
