Video Editor for YouTube Horror Channel (NightmareSkills)

? Job Description:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our growing team for the YouTube channel “NightmareSkills.”
The channel focuses on horror storytelling, mystery, and eerie real-life cases — combining engaging visuals, cinematic editing, and atmospheric sound design to captivate viewers.

This is a full-time position (8 hours per day), working closely with the channel owner to produce high-quality, longform horror content on a daily or regular basis.

You will be responsible for transforming raw footage, stock videos, and AI-generated visuals into immersive YouTube videos that deliver tension, mystery, and cinematic quality.

? Responsibilities:

Edit longform horror videos (10–25 minutes) and occasional short clips for YouTube.

Use CapCut Pro (preferred) or Adobe Premiere Pro for all editing.

Add fitting sound effects, background music, and cinematic transitions to create a dark and immersive atmosphere.

Integrate copyright-safe materials only (e.g., Storyblocks, Pexels, Pixabay, Mixkit).

Optionally use AI-generated visuals (e.g., Leonardo.ai, Midjourney) when appropriate — ensuring top visual quality.

Transcribe and subtitle short foreign-language clips accurately into English or German (using AI tools if needed).

Follow a consistent editing style inspired by the provided example videos and channel references.

Perform video and audio optimization (stabilization, denoising, volume balancing, clarity enhancement).

Maintain a smooth workflow using Notion, where all project files, feedback, and communication are managed.

Meet daily or weekly deadlines and maintain professional communication.

? Requirements & Skills:

Strong experience in video editing (YouTube experience preferred).

Proficient with CapCut Pro (required) or Adobe Premiere Pro.

Solid understanding of cinematic storytelling, pacing, and atmosphere building.

Ability to use and mix music and sound design to enhance emotion and tension.

Familiar with copyright-safe content sourcing (Storyblocks, Pixabay, etc.).

Basic understanding of AI tools (Leonardo.ai, Midjourney, ChatGPT) is a plus.

Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently.

Experience working with Google Drive and Notion for file management.

Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Bonus: Previous experience editing horror, thriller, or mystery-themed videos.
